Our project for Red Cross Home For The Disabled (RCHD) started from an invitation to a tender. Our client required a digital solution to reduce human error, discrepancies in information and simpler tracking of data because then, they were doing everything for example, the recording of patients’ details manually. Overall, their objective was to create a seamless workflow process.
Firstly, a little backstory. Previously, we had done a system solution for Red Cross Academy which is another subsidiary of Red Cross. We received great feedback as we have provided exceptional service and catered to all their needs.
We will conduct a discovery session with our client to find out their current system and what issues and problems come up when working with that system. Afterwards, we will propose why their system isn’t working as well as it should and what solutions will be able to solve the problems. Then the design and development of the wireframe start, based on our previous proposal. Accompanying this will be the writing of separate modules.
As you can see, information modules are all recorded neatly with a user interface that is simple and straightforward. For admin tasks and recording of information, it is much more efficient to be done digitally than on paper. Papers can be easily lost and there would be a lot of time wasted by flipping through documents to find information that can be searched upon in a system.
Furthermore, management can access the system at any time to check any resident’s health condition by themselves instead of asking staff or checking physical records reducing areas for miscommunication. They can also check the maintenance of the location such as available spaces etc.
By having an automated scheduling system allows therapists for easier updating of data and updating details of clients and residents. It also lessens manual calculation and planning/allocation of time slots. The system quickens the whole scheduling process when there is one database where all information is kept and accessible anywhere.
The system is able to give staff the notifications/alerts to update each resident’s full review as per the governments’ regulations for easy monitoring of assessments and reviews.
Managements are able to easily generate reports for relevant authority submissions as well as for social workers to submit for claims and requirements.
After doing a quick run-through of how our system has improved RCHD’s operations, we are happy that this implemented system has helped to reduce their overall workload and to become more productive. It is being made clear that digital transformation has simplified the lives of many and improved overall business efficiency.
